"My time and experience as a student at ROA were life changing. I continued my learning and journey at ROA with online and in person CPD's.


I firmly remain rooted at ROA as a learner for life. In April 2020, I committed to dedicating the impact of my time and experience with ROA in my further studies, learning and research, which I have been documenting since then to present day.


My experience during my time on both the Level 5 and Level 7 course, the Loneliness Forum during COVID, the current ROA Forum and all the CPD offered ROA has significantly influenced my journey, skills and growth and has been invaluable and so appreciated.

"I started at ROA after completing my Level 3 earlier than expected. I came for a taster session to see if ROA was the right place for me. When I observed two Year 3 students engaged in their role play, I was fascinated how the trainee counsellor was able to engage the client using colours to describe her feelings. Red, for danger, green for feeling good and amber in between the two. The trainee counsellor was gentle in her approach and gave the client the space to feel heard. It gave me a first-hand glance of the counsellor I could become.... and the decision was made. Six months on and I have discovered so many hidden depths about myself and am still learning and am keen to find out more..."
