Our Counselling Courses
Reflect On Academy offers various counsellor training programmes below:
Before enrolling in any of our counselling courses, you must complete our Certificate in Counselling Level 3.
Accreditation of Prior Learning Three years are necessary to complete all course requirements. Therefore, APL does not accept students after the course has begun. If you have any questions regarding these procedures, please contact the Admin Team.
BACP Accredited Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
The Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling is a Level 5 Professional Clinical Training Diploma, accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This course equips students with in-depth knowledge of mental health challenges, their origins, and effective recovery methods. Upon successful completion of the course, graduates automatically register with the BACP and receive exemption from the BACP Proficiency Assessment Test.
Students are introduced to a variety of psychological therapies, including humanistic person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural approaches. The programme includes supervised practice during placements, which students arrange as part of the course requirements.
The curriculum provides comprehensive training in assessing mental health issues, identifying suitable interventions, and understanding different therapeutic modalities. Experiential personal development is a key element, supported by experiential groups and individual therapy, which foster both professional and personal growth.
At the heart of this BACP-accredited course is a multidisciplinary and personalised approach. We encourage collaboration between tutors and learners, enabling you to tailor your learning path.
